Curvelet Regularized Nonlinear Anisotropic Diffusion

چکیده
In this paper, two models for curvelet-regularized nonlinear diffusion are proposed for discontinuity-preserving denoising, using a new tight frame of curvelets and a nonlinear diffusion scheme. Numerical experiments show their good performance to recover the shape of edges and some important detailed components of the image while we use less iterations, in comparison to traditional methods. Sparsity- and continuity-promoting seismic image recovery with curvelet frames
A nonlinear singularity-preserving solution to seismic image recovery with sparseness and continuity constraints is proposed. We observe that curvelets, as a directional frame expansion, lead to sparsity of seismic images and exhibit invariance under the normal operator of the linearized imaging problem. Based on this observation we derive a method for stable recovery of the migration amplitude...
متن کاملEvolving Geophysics Through Innovation
Continuity along reflectors in seismic images is used via Curvelet representation to stabilize the convolution operator inversion. The Curvelet transform is a new multiscale transform that provides sparse representations for images that comprise smooth objects separated by piece-wise smooth discontinuities (e.g. seismic images). Our iterative Curvelet-regularized deconvolution algorithm combine...
متن کاملA Level Set Method for Anisotropic Geometric Diffusion in 3D Image Processing
Abstract. A new morphological multiscale method in 3D image processing is presented which combines the image processing methodology based on nonlinear diffusion equations and the theory of geometric evolution problems. Its aim is to smooth level sets of a 3D image while simultaneously preserving geometric features such as edges and corners on the level sets. This is obtained by an anisotropic c...

متن کاملPAIRED ANISOTROPIC DISTRIBUTION FOR IMAGE SELECTIVE SMOOTHING
In this paper, we present a novel approach for image selective smoothing by the evolution of two paired nonlinear partial differential equations. The distribution coefficient in de-noising equation controls the speed of distribution, and is determined by the edge-strength function. In the previous works, the edge-strength function depends on isotropic smoothing of the image...
